Activities For Kids on a Disney Cruise

The Littlest Cruisers. Children 12 to 36 months can receive care in a soft play area call Flounder's Reef Nursery. This area is available for additional charge and is open for select hours each day. Be sure to book before your cruise if possible as space is limited.

Junior cruisers. Disney ships allow your child to enter the magical world of Disney by providing nearly an entire deck full of outdoor activity areas, entertainment centers and swimming pools full of age specific programs and activities just for them! Disney offers two amazing kids areas where children can play with others their own age. Parents relax Knowing that their children are safe and supervised by counselors who want to provide fun and memorable cruise activities for their children.

Disney's Oceaneer Club is for kids aged 3-7. The kids play in an area designed like Captain Hook's ship and have visits from princesses and Mickey Mouse. Other activities include drawing Mickey, Detective School, singing and dancing with Snow White, Making cookies in the Nestles Jr. Chef Experience, playing with green goopy Flubber and Swinging like Tarzan. Please note that kids must be toilet trained to play here. When you sign in your youngsters under age 12 you will be given a “Parent Page” so that you will be can reached any where on the ship. It's also a good idea to stay with your child the first time so they can get their bearings. I like to stay with them until I help them find and introduce themselves to a friend their age.

Disney's Oceaneer Lab provides full-filled interactive activities for kids aged 8-12. Kids have the opportunity to learn to draw like a Disney artist, play with Flubber, show off their skills in the Goofy's World Record, build and sail soap racers and even have their very own Splish & Splash Pool Party. There is also a kids-only spiraling slide at Mickey's Pool and a few ping-pong tables.

Teen Cruisers. High up in the ship's funnel is the deck set aside for teens only, no adults, no little kids. On the Disney Magic, it's called The Stack and on the Disney Wonder it's the Aloft. This is teen central on any Disney cruise. The area has its own lounge, internet access, music and video games. What a perfect place for everybody from 13 to 17 to gather to meet new friends and kick-off spot for all the teen activities all day and night long. Some of the teen activities include Gender Wars, Teen Tribal Challenge, Video game tournaments, get fit with Pump it Up, Maximum Capacity dance party, Karaoke, H20 Splash Down pool party, glow in the dark spots, Pajama Party movie night and a Party in Paradise on the last night at sea.
